Welcome back!

Smart shoppers use coupons. People use coupons to save money when they make purchases. People can save a lot of money on car rentals by using discount codes and car rental coupons.

Marketing people love coupons. As advertising tools they’re invaluable because they get to people’s homes in magazines and mailers. People will often try a new brand if there’s a discount available. Knowing is half the battle. They’ll keep buying good products. Coupons, including rental coupons help attract new customers and keep existing customers coming back for more. In the auto rental business where so many offers look the same, that’s a key.

People who don’t use coupons are penalized with a higher price. Wise shoppers look at coupons like that. Because so many people have the coupon, it can be considered to deliver the actual price. It’s pretty wasteful to pay full price for items with coupon discounts available.

For car rentals there are plenty of sites that help people find the best deals, coupons and discount codes. Many car rental companies frequently list coupon discounts. A quick search on Google or Yahoo will find more. Many of these coupons and discounts are contingent on the use of a certain service or travel agent. Compare total price, not just coupons. For example if there is a coupon for booking car rental on Travelocity, check other sites like Cheaptickets that may offer the same coupons, or list car rentals that are cheaper than the Travelocity listings plus coupons. Coupons are a tool to guide people to certain things. A coupon product may not always be the right choice.

Most rental car companies have deals that don’t depend on coupons. Some companies offer deals to veterans, and even $1 per day rentals during certain seasons. At times, and in certain circumstances, some companies even offer free rentals.

Don’t ignore car rental coupons when renting an auto. Get the best price you can, keeping coupons in mind.
